Tomato Pasta Salad with Pirkka Canned Tuna

In Finland, you can find variety of flavored canned tuna. I used Pirkka’s herb and tomato one. Easy to make and very tasty side dish.

INGREDIENTS
  • short pasta (any shape you like) 100 g
  • Onion 50 g
  • Pirkka tonnikala yrttinen tomaatti (*2) 170 g
  • mayonnaise 3 tablespoon
  • soy sauce 1 tablespoon
  • ketchup 1 tablespoon
  • pepper

NOTES
*1 You can make it with any short pasta.
Macaroni, penne…takes a while to absorb flavors, but has a firm texture. Perfect for bento.
Fujigli…Easily blended with ingredients and suitable for eating immediately after cooking.
*2 Also use all the tomato juice that the tuna is marinated in.
*3 If you let it sit for a while after making it, the macaroni will absorb the flavor and it will be even more delicious.
It is also great for lunch boxes.
(For bento, it is assumed that you will cook it the night before and keep it in the refrigerator except for 30 minutes of travel time.)
