Celery is indispensable for cooking organs, making liver patties, and removing odors. However, a bag of celery is too big, and I don’t need all of them for the main purpose. I tried adding it to soups and such, but the taste was too strong. So, I decided to use celery alone as a pickle, and it turned out to be very refreshing and delicious.

Crunchy Pickled Celery

A bag of celery is large. To use it all up, I made a pickle with celery as the main ingredient. Delicious with crispiness and refreshing smell.

Servings100 g celery
INGREDIENTS
  • celery (1 stick) 100 g
  • water (30g) 2 Tbsp
  • soy sauce (18g) 1 Tbsp
  • brown sugar (5g) 1/2 tbsp
  • vinegar (8g, 5% concentration, *1) 1/2 tbsp
  • dashi powder (1g) 1/4 tsp
INSTRUCTIONS
  • Cut celery into thin slices.
  • Add all ingredients and mix well.
  • Let sit in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
