Lemon Cream Chicken Pasta

Thick cream taste and sour lemon taste match surprisingly well. Easy and quick pasta recipe for those busy or lazy days.

INGREDIENTS
  • pasta 100 g
ingredient
  • chicken thigh (or chicken breast) 100 g
  • onion 50 g
  • mushroom (any kinds of mushroom are ok) 50 g
for sauce
  • chicken soup stock powder 1 teaspoon
  • pure lemon juice 2 tablespoon
  • salt
  • pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
  • Cut chicken to small but chunky pieces.
  • Slice onion and mushroom thin.
  • Put all ingredients in the pan and heat with middle heat.
  • Cover with lid and heat until the onion become transparent.
  • Remove the lid and add flour, then mix well.
  • Add milk 100mL, mix well. Heat for some time and add another 100ml and mix well again.
  • Add all seasonings and adjust the taste with salt and pepper.
  • Combine the sauce and boiled pasta on the pan and mix.
  • Serve nicely and enjoy!
NOTES
Sometimes I feel that cream pasta is too heavy, even though I love cream pasta. Of course, there are many choices for food in all situations, most of them are not cream pasta. But you know sometimes you just want to make pasta foods because they are easy and fun to make.
Sometimes I just simply get this feeling of wanting to cook cream pasta. (Yes, I love cooking more than eating).
This is lighter than it seems.
Lemon cream pasta is so nice. Creamy but not too heavy, thanks to the sourness and freshness of lemon. Chicken is the best meat for this sauce. Same as in my other cream pasta recipes, like tomato cream pasta, you can add cheese when you add seasoning.
Any kind of pasta goes well with this, and I strongly recommend cooking gnocchi by yourself. Sweet taste comes from potato and it’s so nice.
