Ume Plum Miso Seasoned Pork

Pre-seasoning makes the meat tender and juicy, and makes cooking easier. Ume plums are sour and give meat, especially pork an appetizing flavor.

INGREDIENTS

  • pork 300 g
  • water 2 tablespoon
  • garlic (1 clove) 5 g
INSTRUCTIONS
preparation
  • Grate garlic, place in a plastic bag, and mix with seasonings.
  • Cut the pork into thin slices. Place in a plastic bag and massage well to spread the seasoning.
  • Let sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, if you have time then over night. Can be frozen in this state.

NOTES
This is one of those meat seasoning preps that can be frozen for easier future cooking sessions. I received a tube of ume paste from Japan, so I tried making this, before Juhani ate all the paste in onigiris, and it came out excellent!
I hope to make it this year with homemade pickled plums.
